Resident Assistant

What does a resident assistant do?

Resident Assistants typically work to provide support to residents and their quality of life They coordinate with other staff and family members to ensure that residents receive the medical support and nutrition they need. Their job is to make residents feel valued by engaging in positive interactions with them and making an effort to provide them with fun activities and group programs. They may also be responsible for contacting a resident’s relatives to notify them of changes in their loved one’s health or behavior.

Senior Outings

Senior Outings include any kind of social or recreational activity that the client or family feels the client may benefit from or enjoy for any predetermined amount of time no longer than one business day not to exceed 5 hours without additional charge.

Companions

Companion care is a form of home care offering non-medical services to older adults or people with disabilities. Companion care differs from personal care in that personal care aides (also known as home health aides) may provide the same services as companion care but also help with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication management, depending on specific state regulations. The goal of companion care is primarily emotional support and socialization, although companions may help older adults with a variety of tasks.

Weekend Care

Any care provided between Fridays after 5:00pm (unless contracted otherwise) to 5pm on Monday. Special fees and services apply. Client shall be informed of these additional terms and conditions before service.

Overnight Supervision

What is overnight care?

Overnight care involves a professional caregiver staying with an individual during the night to provide assistance with various tasks and ensure their well-being. This type of care is particularly beneficial for older adults who may feel vulnerable, anxious, or require help with nighttime activities such as using the bathroom, taking medications, or moving safely around their home

  1. Waking Night Care: The caregiver remains awake throughout the night, monitoring the individual and responding to their needs. This is especially useful for those with conditions like dementia who may wander or require more constant supervision.

  2. Sleeping Night Care: The caregiver stays overnight but can sleep, providing assistance if needed. This arrangement offers reassurance while allowing the caregiver to rest.

Activities of Daily Living

The activities of daily living are a series of basic activities necessary for independent living at home or in the community. They are performed on a daily basis. There are many variations on the definition of the ADL’s. Our definition is what you define.

Adult Supervision

Supervision is an accountable process which supports, assures and develops the knowledge, skills and values of an individual, group or team. The purpose is to improve the quality of their living to achieve agreed objectives and outcomes.

Short Term Care

Short Term Care is care provided on a basis less than one week or at an at needed basis with no term ending contract connected. Short term care is not to be confused with other forms of services. Short term care can be provided for many different reasons established between our company and the client.

One on One Care

One on one care is a type of care which specializes in providing to ensure the safety of the client who may be suffering from cognitive impairment, exhibit challenging behavior, or may be at risk of falls or of causing harm to themselves or others.

Travel Companions

Travel Companion care is a from of care offering older adults or people with disabilities with family members or friends that would like to vacation away from home with the option to include their loved one in some activities, while having the option and security to have them close by when not able to fully included in some events. The goal of companion care is primarily emotional support and socialization, although companions may help older adults with a variety of tasks.

Companions

The main goal of companion care is to provide social and emotional support to seniors living alone. Companions may come every day, a few times a week, or just for weekly visits. The visits may last a few hours or be a full day.
